Crochet Warm Oversized Textured Pullover Free Pattern
Materials:
- Yarn: Bulky weight yarn (approximately 800 yards)
- Hook: Size N (10 mm) crochet hook
- Yarn needle
- Scissors
- Measuring tape
Gauge:
8 stitches x 6 rows = 4 inches in textured stitch pattern.
Size:
This pattern is customizable. The provided instructions will fit most sizes.
Stitches Used:
- Chain (ch)
- Half double crochet (hdc)
- Slip stitch (sl st)
- Front post double crochet (fpdc)
- Back post double crochet (bpdc)
Instructions:
Body:
- Ch 60 (or desired width for oversized fit). Join to form a ring, being careful not to twist the chain.
- Row 1: Ch 2 (counts as hdc), hdc in each ch around. Join with sl st to top of ch-2.
- Row 2: Ch 2, hdc in same stitch, hdc in next stitch, *fpdc around next stitch, bpdc around the following stitch; repeat from * around. Join with sl st.
- Repeat Row 2 until the work measures approximately 22 inches from the beginning or your desired body length.
Sleeves (Make 2):
- Ch 30. Join to form a ring.
- Row 1: Ch 2, hdc in each ch around. Join with sl st.
- Row 2: Ch 2, hdc in same stitch, *fpdc around next stitch, bpdc around next stitch; repeat from * around. Join with sl st.
- Continue until sleeve measures 18 inches or desired length.
Assembly:
- Align the sleeves to the body and sew them securely to each side using a yarn needle.
- For a boat neck, leave stitches unworked at the top, or crochet a few additional rows of hdc for adjustments.
- Weave in all ends and block your sweater to shape.
Finishing:
Add any desired embellishments or a cozy scarf to complete your look!
