Crochet Vibrant Striped Pullover Sweater Free Pattern

Materials:

• Worsted weight yarn in six colors (cream, orange, teal, green, purple, blue)
• 5.0 mm crochet hook
• Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
• Scissors

Gauge:

14 dc and 8 rows = 4 inches (10 cm)

Abbreviations:

• ch: chain
• dc: double crochet
• sc: single crochet
• sl st: slip stitch
• st(s): stitch(es)

Instructions:

Neckband:

1. With cream yarn, ch 72 (multiple of 4). Join with sl st to form a circle. (or adjust to fit your neck size)
2. Round 1: ch 1, sc in each ch around, join with sl st to first sc.
3. Rounds 2-6: ch 1, sc in each st around, join with sl st to first sc. Fasten off.

Yoke:

1. Join orange yarn to any sc of the last row of neckband.
2. Round 1: ch 3 (counts as dc), 2 dc in same st, *ch 1, skip next 3 st, 3 dc in next st,* repeat from * to * around, ch 1, join with sl st to top of beginning ch-3.
3. Change to teal yarn.
4. Round 2: ch 3, 3 dc between each 3 dc group of the previous round, ch 1, repeat around, join.
5. Repeat Color Row: Change colors following pattern (green, purple, blue, cream, and continue in established pattern). Keep increasing yoke until desired width for chest size.

Body:

1. Separate for sleeves, continue working in established pattern while skipping stitches for armholes.
2. Continue straight until desired length, finish with a few rows of sc in cream for the border.

Sleeves:

1. Join yarn at armhole with cream yarn, work 3 dc clusters around, following body pattern.
2. Work even until desired sleeve length, finish with ribbed edging of cream sc.

Finishing:

Weave in all ends securely using a tapestry needle.
