Materials Needed:

• Sport weight cotton yarn (approx. 100-150 yards)
• Size G (4.0 mm) crochet hook
• Stitch markers
• Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Gauge:

14 stitches and 16 rows in double crochet = 4 inches.

Instructions:

Sizes:

Women's size small (medium, large): Adjust hook size as needed for a snug fit.

Toe Section:

1. Ch 20 (22, 24).
2. Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in each ch across (18, 20, 22 dc). Turn.
3. Row 2: Ch 3, dc in next dc, *ch 1, skip next dc, dc in next dc; repeat from * across. Turn.
4. Row 3: Ch 3, *dc in ch-1 space, ch 1; repeat from * across. Turn.
5. Repeat Rows 2-3 until piece measures 5 (6, 7) inches from start (or desired length).

Foot Section:

1. Ch 6 (5, 4) counting as first dc, turn the piece sideways.
2. Row 1: Dc in same stitch, dc in each dc across (18, 20, 22).
3. Row 2-5: Ch 3, dc in each st across. Turn.

Heel Strap:

1. Ch 15 (18, 20) for heel strap. Fasten off.
2. Attach strap to back of foot part, centered, using slip stitch.

Lace Detail:

1. With a new color, attach yarn to the center of the foot part.
2. Ch 6, dc in 3rd ch from hook, ch 1, skip 1 st, dc in next st; repeat along the top edge. Slip stitch to join.

Finishing:
