Woodland Critter Hat Free Pattern

Instructions:

Base Hat

1. Chain 4, join to form a ring.

3. Round 2: Chain 2, 1 dc in the same stitch, 2 dc in each stitch around. Join. (24 stitches)
4. Round 3: Chain 2, *1 dc in next stitch, 2 dc in next stitch; repeat from * around. Join. (36 stitches)
5. Round 4-9: Chain 2, dc in each stitch around. Join. (36 stitches)
6. Round 10: Chain 2, *dc2tog, dc in next 2 stitches; repeat from * around. Join. (27 stitches)
7. Round 11: Chain 2, *dc2tog, dc in next stitch; repeat from * around. Join. (18 stitches)
8. Round 12: Chain 2, dc in each stitch around. Join.
9. Round 13: Chain 2, *dc2tog; repeat from * around. Join. (9 stitches)
10. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Animal Ears (Make 2)

1. Chain 3, join to form a ring.
2. Round 1: 6 sc in ring.
3. Round 2: 2 sc in each stitch around (12 stitches)
4. Round 3: *1 sc, 2 sc in next stitch; repeat from * around (18 stitches)
5. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Stuff lightly.

Leaves (Optional, Make 3)
