Crochet Whimsical Wave-Inspired Cowl Pattern
Materials:
- 2 skeins of DK weight yarn (100g each) in two contrasting colors
- 5.0 mm crochet hook
- Yarn needle for weaving ends
- Scissors
Gauge: 16 stitches and 8 rows = 4 inches in wave stitch pattern
Finished Size: Approximately 28 inches in circumference and 12 inches in height
Instructions:
- Ch 90 (or any multiple of 10 + 10 for width adjustment).
- Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Turn. (89 sc)
- Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc), *skip 2 sc, (dc, ch 1) in next sc; repeat from * to last 2 sc, skip 1 sc, dc in last sc. Turn.
- Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each dc and ch-1 space across. Turn.
- Row 4: Ch 3, *dc in next sc, ch 1; repeat from * to last dc, dc in last sc. Turn.
- Repeat Rows 2-4 until the piece measures approximately 12 inches or desired height.
- Finish with a sc row for a clean edge.
- Join the first and last row with slip stitch to form a cowl. Weave in all ends.
