Materials Needed
- Yarn: Worsted weight in purple, green, and gold. Recommended: Red Heart With Love.
- Crochet Hook: Size H/8 (5.0 mm)
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
Abbreviations
- ch: chain
- sc: single crochet
- dc: double crochet
- sl st: slip stitch
Gauge
12 stitches x 7 rows = 4 inches in pattern stitch.
Instructions
Base Row
- Using the purple yarn, ch 120. Join with a sl st to the first ch to form a loop.
Row 1
- Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in each ch around. Join with sl st to top of ch-3. (120 dc)
Row 2
- Ch 4 (counts as dc + ch 1), *skip next 2 dc, [(dc, ch 1, dc) in next dc]* repeat from * to * around, skip last 2 dc, join with sl st in 3rd ch of beginning ch.
Rows 3-4
- Switch to green yarn, repeat Row 2.
Rows 5-6
- Switch to gold yarn, repeat Row 2.
Rows 7-8
- Switch to purple yarn, repeat Row 2.
Rows 9-10
- Switch to green yarn, repeat Row 2.
Rows 11-12
- Switch to gold yarn, repeat Row 2, fasten off.
Finishing
- Weave in all ends using a tapestry needle. Wash and block gently to shape.
