Finished Measurements: Approximately 30 inches in diameter and 12 inches in width.
Materials:
- Worsted weight yarn (approx. 500 yards)
- Size H (5.0 mm) crochet hook
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Gauge: 15 stitches x 10 rows = 4 inches in double crochet (DC) pattern.
Instructions:
Foundation Chain: Chain 115.
Row 1: In the 4th chain from the hook, make 1 DC. *Skip the next chain, 1 DC in the next chain; repeat from * across to the end. Turn your work.
Row 2: Chain 3 (counts as a DC), *skip the next DC, 1 DC in the next DC; repeat from * across. Turn your work.
Row 3: Chain 3. In the next DC, make 2 DC (this will create a cluster). Skip one DC and make a shell (5 DC) in the next DC. *Skip one DC, make a cluster in the next; repeat from * across. End with a DC in the top of the turning chain. Turn your work.

Finishing:
