Materials Needed:
- Worsted weight yarn in three colors: rust, gold, and burgundy (approximately 200 yards each)
- Size H (5.0 mm) crochet hook
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
Gauge:
12 stitches = 4 inches in double crochet pattern.
Abbreviations:
- ch = chain
- dc = double crochet
- sc = single crochet
- sl st = slip stitch
- sp = space
Pattern Instructions:
Foundation Row:
With color A (rust), ch 5.
Row 1:
In the 4th ch from hook, make 1 dc.
Make 1 dc in the next ch.
In the last ch, make 3 dc (this will create the point of the triangle).
Turn your work.
Row 2:
Ch 3 (counts as first dc), 1 dc in the first dc.
*Ch 1, skip the next dc, 2 dc in the next dc.
Repeat from * across until last dc, add 3 dc in last dc.
Turn your work.
Row 3:
Change to color B (gold).
Ch 3, 1 dc in first dc.
*Ch 1, skip next dc, 2 dc in next dc.
Repeat from * across, ending with 3 dc in last dc.
Turn your work.
Row 4:
Change to color C (burgundy).
Ch 3, 1 dc in first dc.
*Ch 1, skip next dc, 2 dc in next dc.
Repeat from * across, ending with 3 dc in last dc.
Turn your work.
Repeat Rows 2-4:
Continue to repeat these rows, changing colors every two rows, until the desired length is reached (approximately 60 inches).
Edging:
With color C (burgundy), sc along the edge to create a neat finish.
In the corners, make 3 sc to maintain the shape.
Finishing:
