Crochet Textured Twisted Bow Headband Free Pattern

Materials Needed:

• Worsted weight yarn (approximately 100-150 yards)
• 6.0 mm (J) crochet hook
• Scissors
• Tapestry needle
• Measuring tape

Gauge:

8 double crochets and 6 rows = 4 inches square

Sizes:

This pattern can be adjusted to fit various head sizes. Suggested sizes are:

• Child (18-20 inches circumference)
• Adult (20-22 inches circumference)

Instructions:

Base of the Headband:

1. Start with a slip knot, chain 12 (or desired width).
2. Row 1: DC in the 4th chain from the hook and in each chain across. (10 DC)
3. Row 2-10: Ch 3 (counts as first DC here and throughout), turn. DC in each DC across.

Twist Bow:

1. Chain 8.
2. Row 1: SC in the 2nd chain from hook and in each chain across. (7 SC)
3. Row 2: Ch 1, turn. SC in each ST across.
4. Repeat Row 2 until the bow measures approximately 4 inches in length (about 8 rows).
5. To form the bow, pinch the center and wrap a small piece of yarn around it, securing the ends with a knot.

Assembly:

1. Joining the ends of the headband, sew together with slip stitch or whip stitch.
2. Attach the bow to the center front of the headband using a few stitches to secure it in place.
3. Weave in all ends using the tapestry needle.
