Textured Twist Scarf Free Pattern
Materials:
- Worsted weight yarn – approximately 200 yards (choose a soft, cozy yarn in your favorite color)
- Size I (5.5 mm) crochet hook
- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
- Scissors
Gauge: 14 stitches and 16 rows = 4 inches in double crochet stitch
Final Dimensions: Approximately 6 inches wide and 70 inches long
Stitches Used:
- Chain (ch)
- Double Crochet (dc)
- Slip Stitch (sl st)
- Single Crochet (sc)
Instructions:
- Chain 30 (or any odd number of chains for desired width).
- Row 1: In the 4th chain from the hook, dc, then dc in each ch across. Turn.
- Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), dc in next st, *ch 1, skip next st, dc in next st; repeat from * to last st; dc in last st. Turn.
- Row 3: Ch 3, dc in the next dc, *ch 1, skip next ch-1 space, dc in next dc; repeat from * across to last st; dc in last st. Turn.
- Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until the scarf measures approximately 65 inches long or desired length.
- Finishing: Fasten off and leave a long tail for fringe. Use a tapestry needle to attach fringe on both ends of the scarf. Each fringe can be made of 3 strands of yarn, 8 inches long.
- Weave in any loose ends. Your Textured Twist Scarf is now ready to wear!
