Materials

• Worsted weight yarn in green (approximately 400 yards)
• Crochet hook size H/8 (5.0 mm)
• Yarn needle for weaving in ends

Stitches Used

• Ch: chain
• Sl st: slip stitch
• Sc: single crochet
• Hdc: half double crochet
• Dc: double crochet
• Tr: treble crochet

Instructions

Leaf Base

1. Ch 4, sl st to form a ring.
2. Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc), 11 dc into ring, sl st to top of ch-3. (12 dc)
3. Round 2: Ch 3, dc in same st, 2 dc in each st around, sl st to top of ch-3. (24 dc)
4. Round 3: Ch 3, dc in same st, *dc in next st, 2 dc in next st; rep from * around, sl st to top of ch-3. (36 dc)
5. Round 4: Ch 1, sc in each dc around, sl st to first sc. (36 sc)

Veins

1. Central Vein: Attach yarn at center of leaf, ch 15, turn, sc in second ch from hook and each ch across, fasten off.
2. Side Veins:
   • Join yarn along the edge of the leaf, ch 10, turn, sl st in second ch from hook and each ch back to leaf edge, fasten off.
   • Repeat similar vein placement on various parts of the leaf to replicate the image pattern.

Finishing

1. Weave in all ends using a yarn needle.
2. Block the leaf to flatten and shape each point as desired.
