Materials:

• Weight 5 cotton yarn (approx. 200 yards)

• sc - single crochet
• dc - double crochet

Instructions:

Base of the Bag:

1. Ch 36.
2. Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and across (35 sc).
3. Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc in first st, hdc in next, dc in next 3 st, hdc in next, sc across to last 2 st, finish with hdc and sc in last st (special wave stitch).
4. Repeat Row 2 until base measures 12 inches.

Building the Sides:

2. Now join the base with a sl st to form a circle.

Creating the Waves:

1. Round 1: Ch 1, *sc in next, hdc in next, (dc, hdc, sc) in next stitch (wave made), repeat from * around.
2. Round 2: Continue as previous row, adding more wave stitches as you desire until bag height reaches approximately 10 inches.

Finishing:

1. Bind off and weave in ends.
