Crochet Textured Chunky Striped Infinity Scarf Free Pattern

Materials Needed:

  • Chunky weight yarn (2-3 colors, approx. 200-300 yards total)
  • Size N (10 mm) crochet hook
  • Scissors
  • Yarn needle

Gauge:

8 stitches and 6 rows in single crochet = 4 inches

Instructions:

Base Chain:

Chain 50 (or desired length for your scarf).

Row 1:

In the second chain from the hook, make a single crochet (sc). Continue to sc in each chain across for a total of 49 stitches.

Row 2:

Ch 1, turn. Work a half double crochet (hdc) in each stitch across.

Row 3:

Ch 1, turn. Alternate between 1 hdc in the first stitch, and 1 double crochet (dc) in the next stitch across. (You will end with a hdc in the last stitch.)

Rows 4-6:

Repeat Rows 2 and 3 to create the texture.

Color Change:

At the end of Row 6, switch to your next color yarn for the desired stripe effect. Repeat Rows 2-6 until you reach the desired length (about 60 inches total).

Joining the Scarf:

Once you've reached the desired length, fold the scarf in half, aligning the edges. Use a slip stitch to seam the ends together, making sure to work through both layers evenly.

Finishing Touches:

Weave in any loose ends. For an extra touch, you can add fringe or tassels to the ends of the infinity scarf.

Enjoy your beautiful, custom infinity scarf!
