Soft Textured Embrace Wrap Free Pattern

Materials:
- Worsted weight yarn (approximately 800 yards)
- Size I (5.5 mm) crochet hook
- Scissors
- Yarn needle for weaving in ends
Gauge:
10 stitches and 12 rows = 4 inches in textured stitch pattern
Finished Size:
Approximately 60 inches wide and 30 inches long (including hood)
Stitch Abbreviations:
- ch = chain
- dc = double crochet
- sc = single crochet
- st(s) = stitch(es)
Pattern Instructions:
Wrap Body:
- Start with a foundation chain of 120 stitches.
- Row 1: Dc in the 4th ch from the hook, dc in each ch across (118 dc). Turn.
- Row 2: Ch 2, *dc in next st, skip 1 st*, repeat from * to * across, dc in top of ch-2. Turn.
- Row 3-38: Repeat Rows 1 and 2.
Hood:
- To create the hood, fold the top 20 inches of the wrap towards the center, leaving 40 inches for the front of the wrap.
- Ch 2, attach yarn at the seam of the fold and work dc around the perimeter of the hood. Join with sl st to the first dc.
- Continue for 5 rows, creating a soft edge.
Finishing:
Weave in all ends. Block the wrap lightly to open up the textured stitches and achieve your desired drape.
Care Instructions:
Hand wash in cold water, lay flat to dry.
