Bootie Pattern:

1. Start with the sole: Ch 10. In the second ch from the hook, sc. Sc in next 8 chs, 3 sc in last ch. Working in the other side, sc in next 8 chs. Join with a sl st to the first sc. (20 sc)
2. Row 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in next st, sc in next 8 sts, 2 sc in next st, sc in next 8 sts, join with a sl st. (22 sc)
3. Row 3: Ch 1, sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st, sc in next 9 sts, 2 sc in next st, sc in next 9 sts, join with a sl st. (24 sc)
4. Rows 4-6: Repeat Row 3 (30 sc). Join with a sl st. Cut yarn and tie off.
5. Start the body: Attach yarn to the top of the sole. Ch 1, hdc around, join with a sl st.
6. Row 2: Ch 1, (1 hdc, FPdc in next st) around. Join with a sl st.
7. Row 3: Ch 1, (1 hdc, BPdc in next st) around. Join with a sl st.
8. Rows 4-6: Repeat Rows 2 and 3 alternatively until desired height (about 4 rows). Cut yarn and tie off.
9. Ribbing for the cuff: Using a new color, attach yarn at the top of the bootie. Ch 1, FPdc around, join with a sl st.
10. Row 2: Ch 1, BPdc around, join with a sl st. Repeat Row 2 for 3-4 rounds or desired length. Cut yarn and tie off.
11. Finishing: Weave in all ends using a yarn needle.
