Crochet Adorable Ruffled Toddler Dress Free Pattern

Materials Needed:

• DK weight yarn in cream and dusty pink
• Crochet hook size G/4.0mm
• 2 wooden buttons (1/2 inch)
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors

Gauge:

12 dc and 7 rows = 4 inches

Abbreviations:

• ch: chain
• hdc: half double crochet
• dc: double crochet
• sc: single crochet
• sl st: slip stitch
• st(s): stitch(es)

Instructions:

Yoke

1. With cream yarn, ch 56. Join to form a ring with a sl st, being careful not to twist.
2. Round 1: Ch 2, dc in each ch around. Join with sl st to top of ch-2. (56 dc)
3. Rounds 2-7: Ch 2, dc in each dc around. Join with sl st to top of ch-2.
4. Fasten off cream yarn.

Skirt

1. Join dusty pink yarn in any dc from Round 7.
2. Round 8: Ch 3, (dc in next dc, ch 1, skip next dc) around. Join with sl st to top of ch-3.
3. Repeat Round 8 until the skirt measures 12 inches from the yoke.
4. Fasten off dusty pink yarn.

Bottom Edging

1. Join cream yarn at any ch-1 space at bottom of the skirt.
2. Round 1: Ch 1, sc in each ch-1 space around. Join with sl st to first sc.
3. Round 2: Ch 3, (2 dc in next sc, skip 1 sc, sc in next sc) around. Join with sl st to top of ch-3.
4. Fasten off cream yarn.

Ruffled Sleeves

1. Join cream yarn at top of the yoke at armhole edge.
2. Row 1: Ch 2, 2 dc in same st, dc in next 5 sts, 3 dc in last st. Turn.
3. Row 2: Ch 2, 2 dc in same st, dc across, 2 dc in last st. Turn.
4. Fasten off and repeat on the other armhole.

Finishing

1. Sew two wooden buttons to the back of the yoke.
2. Use the spaces between the dc stitches as buttonholes.
3. Weave in all ends.
