Playful Textured Button-Up Toddler Hoodie
Materials:
- Worsted weight yarn (approx. 400 yards)
- 5.0 mm (H) crochet hook
- 4 buttons (1-inch diameter)
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
Gauge:
14 stitches and 16 rows = 4 inches in textured stitch

This pattern is for toddlers sized 2-4 years.
Stitch Abbreviations:
- ch = chain
- sc = single crochet
- dc = double crochet
- st = stitch
- sl st = slip stitch
Instructions:
Body
- Begin with a chain of 60 stitches.
- Row 1: Sc in the second ch from the hook and in each ch across. (59 sc)
- Row 2: Ch 1, turn. Dc in the first st, then *sc in the next st, dc in the next st; repeat from * across. (29 sc, 30 dc)
- Row 3: Ch 1, turn. Sc in each dc and dc in each sc across.
- Repeat rows 2 and 3 until you reach 14 inches in height, ending with Row 2.
Sleeves (Make 2)
- Chain 30 stitches.
- Row 1: Sc in the second ch from the hook and in each ch across. (29 sc)
- Row 2: Ch 1, turn. Dc in the first st, *sc in the next st, dc in the next st; repeat from * across. (15 sc, 14 dc)
- Repeat rows 2 and 3 until sleeve measures 10 inches, ending with Row 2.
Hood
- Using the body piece, fold the top edge down to create a hood shape.
- Join in the round by connecting the two edges with a sl st.
- Work in rows of 20 stitches until the hood measures 12 inches high.
Assembly
- Attach sleeves to the body at the armholes using slip stitches.
- For buttons, mark button placements on the front of the hoodie, evenly spaced.
- Attach buttons and weave in all loose ends.
