Playful Textured Button-Up Toddler Hoodie

Materials:

  • Worsted weight yarn (approx. 400 yards)

Instructions:

Body

  1. Begin with a chain of 60 stitches.
  2. Row 1: Sc in the second ch from the hook and in each ch across. (59 sc)
  3. Row 2: Ch 1, turn. Dc in the first st, then *sc in the next st, dc in the next st; repeat from * across. (29 sc, 30 dc)
  4. Row 3: Ch 1, turn. Sc in each dc and dc in each sc across.
  5. Repeat rows 2 and 3 until you reach 14 inches in height, ending with Row 2.

Sleeves (Make 2)

  1. Chain 30 stitches.
  2. Row 1: Sc in the second ch from the hook and in each ch across. (29 sc)
  3. Row 2: Ch 1, turn. Dc in the first st, *sc in the next st, dc in the next st; repeat from * across. (15 sc, 14 dc)
  4. Repeat rows 2 and 3 until sleeve measures 10 inches, ending with Row 2.

Hood

  1. Using the body piece, fold the top edge down to create a hood shape.
  2. Join in the round by connecting the two edges with a sl st.

Assembly
