Materials:

Bag Dimensions:

Approximately 10” wide x 7” tall.

Pattern Instructions:

Bag Base:

1. Start with a slip knot, ch 28. 2. Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across (27 sc). 3. Row 2: Ch 1, turn. *Puff stitch in next st; sc in next st.* Repeat from * to * across to the last st, sc in the last st. 4. Row 3: Ch 1, turn. Sc in each st across. 5. Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until the piece measures approximately 10” in length. 6. Fasten off.

Body of the Bag:

1. Join yarn to one side of the base. 2. Ch 1, sc in each st around, placing 3 sc in each corner to create a rounded edge. 3. Continue to work in rounds for 8 rounds, alternating between rows of puff stitch and sc as in the Bag Base. 4. After the last round, leave a long tail for sewing.

Bag Flap:

1. Repeat instructions for the Bag Base, but only work for 5” in length before fastening off. 2. Sew the flap onto the bag, centered along the top edge.

Straps:

1. Ch 120 (or desired length). 2. Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. 3. Fasten off and attach both ends to the sides of the bag with your yarn needle.

Finishing Touches:

1. Weave in all the ends for a clean finish. 2. Use a unique button or magnetic snap closure if desired to secure the flap.
