Crochet Elegant Textured Infinity Scarf

Materials Needed:

  • 1 skein of bulky weight yarn (approx. 100 yards)
  • Size N (10mm) crochet hook
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Stitches Used:

  • Chain (ch)
  • Double crochet (dc)
  • Half double crochet (hdc)
  • Slip stitch (sl st)

Gauge:

4 dc stitches = 4 inches in width.

Finished Size:

Approximately 8 inches wide and 60 inches in circumference.

Instructions:

  1. Ch 60.
  2. Row 1: Hdc in the 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Turn. (59 hdc)
  3. Row 2: Ch 2 (counts as first dc), *dc in next st, hdc in next st; repeat from * across, ending with hdc in the last st. Turn.
  4. Row 3: Ch 1, hdc in the first st, *dc in next st, hdc in next st; repeat from * across, ending with hdc in the last st. Turn.
  5. Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until the scarf measures approximately 60 inches, or desired length.
  6. Join ends together: Fold scarf in half and sl st the two ends together to form a loop.
  7. Now, work a round of sl st around the seam to secure it further and give a finished look.
  8. Cut yarn, leaving a long tail. Use the tapestry needle to weave in any loose ends.
