Crochet Elegant Textured Crescent Shawl
Materials:
- Sport Weight Yarn (approx. 600 yards)
- G/4.0mm Crochet Hook
- Yarn Needle
- Scissors
Gauge:
18 stitches x 10 rows = 4" in double crochet (DC)
Size:
Approximately 70" wide x 25" tall at the center point.
Stitches Used:
- Chain (ch)
- Double Crochet (DC)
- Single Crochet (SC)
- Half Double Crochet (HDC)
- Shell Stitch
- V-Stitch
Pattern:
Foundation Row:
Ch 100.
Row 1: DC in 4th ch from hook, DC in next 2 chs, *ch 1, skip 1 ch, DC in next 4 chs; repeat from * to end, turn.
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as 1st DC), DC in next 2 DCs, *V-stitch in ch-1 space, DC in next 3 DCs; repeat from * to end, turn.
Row 3: Ch 2 (counts as HDC), HDC in next 3 DCs, *shell stitch in V-stitch space, HDC in next 4 DCs; repeat from * to end, turn.
Row 4: Ch 1, SC in same stitch, SC in next 4 stitches, *ch 1, skip V-stitch, SC in next 5; repeat from * to end, turn.
Repeat Rows 2-4 for a total of 20 rows or until desired size is reached.
Edging:
Ch 1, SC evenly around the entire shawl, placing 3 SC in each corner.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Blocking: Wet block your shawl to shape and enhance the lace details.
