Crochet Delicate Lace Diamond Infinity Scarf

Materials Needed:

  • Lightweight yarn (approximately 300-400 yards)
  • Size G (4.0 mm) crochet hook
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry needle
  • Measuring tape

Gauge:

14 double crochets and 8 rows = 4 inches in the lace pattern.

Abbreviations:

  • ch = chain
  • dc = double crochet
  • dc2tog = double crochet two together
  • sk = skip
  • rep = repeat
  • st = stitch

Instructions:

Foundation Row:

Ch 36.

Row 1:

Dc in the 4th ch from the hook. *Ch 1, sk next ch, dc in next ch; repeat from * across, ending with dc in the last ch. (You should have 18 dc, 17 ch-1 spaces.)

Row 2:

Ch 3 (counts as first dc), turn. Dc in the ch-1 space. *Ch 1, sk next dc, dc in the next ch-1 space; repeat from * across to the last dc, ending with 2 dc in the last dc. (You should have 19 dc, 18 ch-1 spaces.)

Row 3:

Ch 3, turn. Dc in the next dc. *Ch 1, dc2tog over the next two dc; repeat from * across, ending with a dc in the last dc. (You should have 9 dc, 8 ch-1 spaces.)

Row 4:

Ch 3, turn. Dc in the next ch-1 space. *Ch 1, sk next dc, dc in next ch-1 space; repeat from * across to the last dc, ending with 2 dc in the last dc.

Repeat Rows 2-4

Continue to repeat Rows 2-4 until your desired length (approximately 60 inches). Fade your colors or maintain a single shade as you like.

Finishing:

Join the ends of the scarf together to create an infinity scarf. Weave in all loose ends using a tapestry needle. Block your scarf to enhance the lace pattern.
