- Worsted weight yarn in the following colors: 1 skein in brown, 1 skein in cream, and 1 skein in blue.
- Size H (5.0mm) crochet hook.

10 double crochets = 4 inches (10 cm) in double crochet stitch.

Stitch Abbreviations:
- ch = chain
- dc = double crochet
- sl st = slip stitch
- st = stitch
- sc = single crochet
Cap Pattern:
Base of the Cap:
- With brown yarn, make a magic ring.
- Round 1: Ch 2, 10 dc in the ring. Join with sl st to the top of the beginning ch 2. (10 dc)
- Round 2: Ch 2, 2 dc in each st around. Join. (20 dc)
- Round 3: Ch 2, *dc in next st, 2 dc in next st; repeat from * around. Join. (30 dc)

Body of the Cap:
- Rounds 5-10: Ch 2, dc in each st around. Join. (40 dc)
Brim of the Cap:
- Change to cream yarn.
- Round 11: Ch 1, sc in each st around. Join.
- Round 12: Ch 1, *sc in next 3 sts, sc2tog; repeat from * around. Join.
- Round 13: Ch 1, sc in each st around. Join.
Decorative Elements:
- Using blue yarn, create a row of small bobbles along the brim by alternating between ch 2 and sc. Space them evenly.
- For additional decoration, create a contrasting stripe using cream yarn around the base of the cap.
Finish:
