Elegant Crochet Lace Curtain Pattern

Materials

  • Cotton crochet thread, size 10 (approximately 5 balls)
  • Crochet hook size 1.75 mm
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Gauge

8 motifs = 4 inches in pattern. Adjust hook size if necessary to match gauge.

Finished Size

Approximately 40 inches wide and 60 inches long.

Instructions

Base Chain

Ch 210.

Row 1

dc in 4th ch from hook (counts as first dc), *ch 2, sk next 2 ch, dc in next ch; rep from * across. Turn.

Row 2

Ch 4 (counts as tr), tr in same st, *ch 3, sc in ch-2 space, ch 3, 2 tr in next dc; rep from * across to end, tr in top of turning ch. Turn.

Row 3

Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in next tr, *ch 2, sc in next ch-3 space, ch 2, dc in each of next 2 tr; rep from * across to end, dc in top of turning ch. Turn.

Row 4

Ch 6 (counts as tr and ch 2), sk 2 dc, sc in next ch-2 space, *ch 3, 2 tr in sc, ch 3, sc in next ch-2 space; rep from * across, end last rep with ch 2, tr in top of turning ch. Turn.

Rows 5-80

Repeat Rows 2-4 until the curtain reaches the desired length, ending with Row 3. Ensure that the curtain measures approximately 60 inches in length.

Finishing

  • Fasten off and weave in all ends.
  • Block the curtain to open up the lace pattern.
  • Optional: Add a rod pocket by folding the top edge and sewing in place using the tapestry needle and matching thread.
