Crocheted Heart Decoration

Instructions

Heart Body

1. Start by making a magic ring.
2. Round 1: Ch 2 (counts as first st), 12 sc into the ring. Pull tight to close. Join with a sl st to the top of the first ch-2. (12 st)
3. Round 2: Ch 2, 2 sc in each stitch around. Join with a sl st to the top of the first ch-2. (24 st)
4. Round 3: Ch 2, *2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next st*, repeat from * to * around. Join with a sl st. (36 st)
5. Round 4: Ch 2, *2 sc in next st, 2 sc in next st*, repeat from * to * around. Join with a sl st. (48 st)
6. Round 5: Ch 2, sc in each st around. Join with a sl st. (48 st)
7. Round 6: Repeat round 5 for 4 more rounds, or until the desired thickness is reached.
8. Now, to shape the heart, pinch the top part of the circle to create the heart lobes and start your decrease.
9. Decreasing Round: Ch 1, sc in next 16 st, sc2tog (sc two together) for the next stitch, sc in next 16 st, sc2tog for the next stitch, join and FO.
10. Leave a long tail for sewing—cut your yarn.

Finishing

1. Stuff the heart with fiberfill if desired, to give it a nice shape.
