Crochet Whimsical Twisted Spiral Basket Coaster

Materials:

• Medium-weight cotton yarn in 4 contrasting colors
• 4mm crochet hook
• Scissors
• Tapestry needle for finishing

Gauge: Not critical for coasters but ensure each coaster is approximately 6 inches in diameter.

Stitches Used:

• Magic Ring
• Chain (ch)
• Slip Stitch (sl st)
• Single Crochet (sc)
• Half Double Crochet (hdc)

Instructions:

1. Start with Color A: Make a magic ring and ch 1. Work 6 sc into the ring. Pull tight and join with a sl st to the first sc.
2. Round 1: Ch 1, 2 sc in each st around (12 sc). Join with sl st.
3. Round 2: Ch 1, *(1 sc in next st, 2 sc in next st)* repeat around (18 sc). Join with sl st.
4. Round 3: Ch 1, *(1 sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st)* repeat around (24 sc). Join with sl st.
5. Round 4: Ch 1, *(1 sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st)* repeat around (30 sc). Join with sl st.
6. Switch to Color B. Ch 1, hdc in same st, hdc in each st around. Join with sl st.
