Whimsical Twinkling Star Flower Pattern

Materials Needed:

• Light worsted weight yarn (in color A and color B)
• 4.0 mm crochet hook
• Scissors
• Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Abbreviations:

• ch - chain
• sl st - slip stitch
• sc - single crochet
• dc - double crochet
• tr - triple crochet
• st - stitch
• sp - space

Notes: The flower consists of 2 rounds. You will work in rounds and do not turn your work.

Pattern Instructions:

Round 1:

1. With color A, create a magic ring.
2. Ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), then work 11 dc into the magic ring. Pull the ring tight and sl st to the top of the first ch 3 to join (12 dc total).

Round 2:

1. Switch to color B. Ch 1, *sc in the next dc, ch 3, skip the next dc, rep from * around until you reach the beginning (6 ch-3 spaces created).
2. Join with a sl st to the first sc.

Round 3 - Petals:

1. In each ch-3 space, work the following: 1 sc, 2 dc, 2 tr, 2 dc, 1 sc. This creates a petal shape.
2. After completing all the petals, sl st to the first sc of the round to join.

Finishing:

• Fasten off and weave in all ends with a tapestry needle.
