Whimsical Textured Petal Blanket Free Crochet Pattern

Materials Needed:

• Worsted weight yarn in cream, soft pink, leafy green, and berry red

Instructions:

Blanket Base

1. Ch 80 for foundation chain.

Petal Motif (Make 16)

1. With soft pink: 6 sc in a magic ring, pull to tighten. Join with a slip stitch.
2. Round 1: Ch 2, 2 dc in same st, *ch 3, sl st in 2nd ch from hook (petal), 2 dc in next st; repeat from * around. Join with a slip stitch. Fasten off.

Assembly

1. Position the petal motifs evenly on the blanket, leaving space between them.
2. Using a yarn needle and leafy green yarn, sew each petal motif onto the blanket, ensuring to attach the base securely.
3. Embellish with tiny berry red clusters randomly around the petals using bobble stitches (4 dc in the same st, pull tight). Finish off each cluster.

Border

1. With berry red yarn, attach yarn in any corner of the blanket. Ch 1, sc in same st and in each st around.
2. When you reach corners, make 2 sc in each corner stitch for a rounded effect. Join with a slip stitch.
3. Optional: For a decorative edge, ch 3, *sl st in next sc; repeat from * around. Join and fasten off.
