Crochet Textured Soft V-Stitch Blanket Free Pattern
Materials Needed:
- Yarn: Soft, beige bulky yarn (approximately 1000 yards).
- Crochet Hook: Size J/10 (6.0 mm).
- Tapestry needle.
- Scissors.
Finished Size:
Approximately 38 inches x 48 inches.
Gauge:
10 hdc V-stitches x 10 rows = 4 inches.
Abbreviations:
- ch: chain
- hdc: half double crochet
- st(s): stitch(es)
- V-st: V-stitch [1 hdc, ch 1, 1 hdc in same ch-1 space]
Instructions:
Foundation Row:
Ch 96 (or a multiple of 2 + 4 for desired width).
Row 1:
Hdc in 3rd ch from hook (counts as first hdc), ch 1, hdc in same ch. *Skip next ch, [1 hdc, ch 1, 1 hdc] in next ch; repeat from * across, ending with 1 hdc in last ch. Turn.
Row 2:
Ch 2 (counts as first hdc), *[1 hdc, ch 1, 1 hdc] in next ch-1 space; repeat from * across, ending with 1 hdc in turning ch space. Turn.
Rows 3-72:
Repeat Row 2 until the blanket measures approximately 48 inches, or desired length.
Finishing:
Fasten off and weave in all ends using a tapestry needle.
Border (Optional):
Join yarn at any corner, ch 1, sc evenly around the blanket edges, placing 3 sc in each corner. Join with a sl st to first sc. Fasten off and weave in ends.
