Daisy the Duckling Amigurumi Free Pattern

Welcome to the whimsical world of amigurumi! In this pattern, we will crochet a charming little duckling named Daisy. She is approximately 5 inches tall and is made with basic stitches, making her perfect for beginners!

Materials:

• Medium weight yarn (birch yellow for the body, orange for the beak and feet)
• 3.5mm crochet hook
• Safety eyes (10mm)
• Fiberfill stuffing

• sc = single crochet
• inc = increase (2 single crochets in one stitch)
• dec = decrease (single crochet 2 stitches together)
• st = stitch
• rnd = round

Instructions:

Body:

1. Start with birch yellow yarn. Create a magic ring.
2. Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring (6)
3. Rnd 2: inc in each st around (12)
4. Rnd 3: (sc 1, inc) repeat around (18)
5. Rnd 4-8: sc in each st around (18)
6. Rnd 9: (sc 1, dec) repeat around (12)
7. Rnd 10: dec in each st around (6)
8. Fasten off, leave a long tail for sewing.

Wings (make 2):

1. Start with birch yellow yarn. Create a magic ring.
2. Rnd 1: 5 sc in magic ring (5)
3. Rnd 2: inc in each st around (10)
4. Rnd 3-4: sc in each st around (10)
5. Fasten off, leave a long tail for sewing.

Beak:

1. With orange yarn, ch 4.
2. Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc 1, turn (2)
3. Row 2: inc, turn (4)
4. Fasten off, leave a long tail for sewing.

Feet (make 2):

1. With orange yarn, ch 5.
2. Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc 1, turn (3)
3. Row 2: inc, turn (6)
4. Fasten off, leave a long tail for sewing.

Assembly:

1. Stuff the body firmly with fiberfill. 2. Attach safety eyes in Rnd 7. 3. Sew the beak between the eyes using the yarn tail. 4. Sew the wings on either side of the body. 5. Attach the feet at the bottom of the body.

Finishing Touch:

Add a little blush to Daisy's cheeks using a soft pink yarn or fabric marker to bring her to life!
