Forest Fairy Towel Holder Pattern

Materials:

  • Worsted weight yarn in green, pink, white, and skin tone
  • 3.5 mm (E) crochet hook
  • Yarn needle
  • Scissors
  • 3-inch towel ring
  • Polyester fiberfill (optional)

Stitches Used:

  • Chain (ch)
  • Slip stitch (sl st)
  • Single crochet (sc)
  • Double crochet (dc)

Notes:

  • This pattern is worked in rounds.
  • Gauge is not critical; adjust hook size if necessary to ensure the fabric is tight enough to hold the towel securely.

Instructions:

Body and Head

  1. With skin tone yarn, make a magic ring and work 6 sc into the ring. Join with a sl st. (6)
  2. Round 2: 2 sc in each stitch around. Join. (12)
  3. Round 3: *1 sc, 2 sc in next stitch* repeat around. Join. (18)
  4. Rounds 4-7: Sc in each stitch around. Join. (18)
  5. Change to green yarn.
  6. Round 8: *1 sc, decrease* repeat around. Join. (12)
  7. Round 9: *decrease* repeat around. Join (6). Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
  8. Stuff the head lightly with fiberfill if desired. Sew closed and attach to the top of the body.

Wings (make 2)

  1. With green yarn, ch 10.
  2. Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in next ch, hdc in next ch, sc in next ch, sl st in last ch; turn.
  3. Row 2: Ch 1, sc in same stitch, hdc, dc, dc, hdc, sc; fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing.

Flower Crown

  1. With pink yarn, ch 16 and join to form a ring.
  2. Round 1: 2 sc in each stitch around. Join. (32)
  3. Round 2: Sc in each stitch around. Join.
  4. Fasten off and sew onto the head.

Assembly

  1. Attach wings to the back of the body using the long tails from the wings.
  2. Sew the flower crown onto the head.
  3. Attach the 3-inch towel ring just below the arms using the body yarn and secure it well to ensure stability.
  4. Display your whimsical forest fairy towel holder by hanging your towel through the ring!

Finishing Touches:
