Crochet Vibrant Orange Bearded Gnome Amigurumi Free Pattern

Materials Needed:

  • Yarn: Orange, grey, cream, and white.
  • Crochet hook suitable for your yarn.
  • Stuffing.
  • Tapestry needle for sewing parts together.
  • Scissors.

Abbreviations:

  • ch: chain
  • sc: single crochet
  • inc: increase (2 sc in one stitch)
  • dec: decrease (single crochet two stitches together)
  • st: stitch
  • FO: finish off

Pattern:

Hat:

  1. In orange, make a magic ring.
  2. Rnd 1: 6 sc in ring. (6)
  3. Rnd 2: [inc] around. (12)
  4. Rnd 3: [1 sc, inc] around. (18)
  5. Rnd 4: [2 sc, inc] around. (24)
  6. Continue increasing each round by 6 stitches until you reach 60 stitches.
  7. Continue with 60 sc in each round until the hat is the desired length. FO.

Body:

  1. In cream, make a magic ring.
  2. Rnd 1: 6 sc in ring. (6)
  3. Rnd 2: [inc] around. (12)
  4. Rnd 3: [1 sc, inc] around. (18)
  5. Rnd 4: [2 sc, inc] around. (24)
  6. Rnd 5: [3 sc, inc] around. (30)
  7. Rnd 6: [4 sc, inc] around. (36)
  8. Switch to grey and continue with 36 sc for two rounds.
  9. Switch to white, and continue with 36 sc for two more rounds.
  10. Return to cream, continue with 36 sc until desired body length. FO.

Arms (make 2):

  1. In grey, ch 2.
  2. Rnd 1: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. (6)
  3. Rnd 2: [inc] around. (12)
  4. Rnds 3-5: sc around. (12)
  5. Switch to cream and continue with sc for two rounds. FO.

Legs (make 2):

  1. In orange, make a magic ring.
  2. Rnd 1: 6 sc in ring. (6)
  3. Rnd 2: [inc] around. (12)
  4. Rnd 3-5: sc around. (12)
  5. Switch to cream and sc for one round. FO.

Nose:

  1. In cream, make a magic ring.

Beard:

Cut several strands of orange yarn to your desired beard length. Attach by folding in half and looping through the front loops of stitches between the nose and body.

Assembly:

  1. Sew the nose to the body, just under the edge of the hat.
  2. Attach arms to sides of the body.
  3. Sew legs to the bottom of the body.
  4. Position the hat and secure it over the body, allowing it to slightly cover the nose.
  5. Tidy up any yarn ends and ensure everything is securely attached.
