Gauge:
4"x4" square = 10 double crochets x 10 rows using double crochet (DC)
Granny Square Pattern:
Each square will measure 12" x 12". Make a total of 12 squares featuring different village scenes.
Square Construction:
Round 1: With color A (your base color), make a magic ring, ch 3 (counts as 1st DC), then 2 DC into ring, ch 2 (corner), (3 DC, ch 2) 3 times, join with slip stitch.
Round 2: Change to color B, slip stitch to first ch 2 space, ch 3, (2 DC, ch 2, 3 DC) in same space (corner), *(3 DC in next ch 2 space)* repeat around, join.
Round 3: Change to color C, slip stitch to first ch 2 space, ch 3, (2 DC, ch 2, 3 DC) in same space (corner), *(3 DC in next space)* repeat around, join.
Continue creating each square with unique motifs such as cozy houses, trees, stars, and other festive elements. For each motif, use different color combinations to enhance the contrast and vibrancy.
Assembly:
Once all squares are complete, lay them out in a pleasing arrangement. Join with a whip stitch or your preferred method. For a finishing touch, create a border using color A:
Single crochet (SC) around the entire blanket, making 3 SC in each corner for a rounded effect. Optionally, add a final round of crab stitch (reverse SC) for an elegant finish.

Finished blanket size: approximately 48" x 48".
