Crochet Textured Waves Blanket Free Pattern

Materials Needed:
- Chunky yarn (approx. 1000 yards)
- 7 mm crochet hook
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
- Measuring tape
Gauge:
4 inches = 8 rows of Waves pattern.
Instructions:
Foundation Chain:
Ch 110 (or any multiple of 10 for desired width).
Row 1:
In 4th ch from hook, (1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc) in the same ch; skip 2 ch, *[1 dc in next ch, ch 1, 1 dc in same ch]; skip 2 ch; repeat from * until end. Turn.
Row 2:
Ch 3 (counts as first dc), (1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc) in the first ch-1 space; repeat from the previous row, ending with a dc in the last st. Turn.
Repeat Rows 1 and 2:
Continue repeating these two rows until the blanket reaches your desired length, approximately 60 inches.
Border:
To add a border, single crochet around all edges and finish with a slip stitch. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Finishing:
Block your blanket to enhance the waves and texture of the stitches.
Care Instructions:
Wash in cold water and lay flat to dry.
