General Instructions

The blanket consists of 24 unique squares, joined together and bordered to complete the design.

Square Patterns

Square A: Simple Filet

1. Ch 17, turn.
2. Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook, *ch 1, skip next ch, dc in next ch*, repeat from * to end, turn.
3. Row 2-14: Ch 3 (counts as dc), *ch 1, skip next st, dc in next dc*, repeat from * to end, turn.
4. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Square B: Star Stitch

1. Ch 17, turn.
2. Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across, turn.
3. Row 2: Ch 2, pull up a loop in 2nd ch from hook and in next 3 sts, yo and pull through all loops, ch 1 to close star, *pull up a loop in closing ch, top of star, and next 2 sts, yo and pull through all loops, ch 1 to close*, repeat from * across, hdc in last st, turn.
4. Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each st and ch across, turn.
5. Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until square measures 5 inches, fasten off and weave in ends.

Square C: Bobble Stitch

1. Ch 17, turn.
2. Row 1: Sk 1st ch, sc in each ch across, turn.
3. Row 2: Ch 1, sc in first st, *bo in next st, sc in next st*, repeat from * to end, turn.
4. Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.
5. Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until square measures 5 inches, fasten off and weave in ends.

Joining Squares

Lay squares out in a 4x6 grid, arranging colors and patterns to preference. Use the whip stitch or single crochet method to join squares.

Border

1. Round 1: Attach Ivory yarn at any corner, ch 1, sc evenly around the blanket, working 3 sc in each corner.
2. Round 2-3: Ch 1, hdc in each st around, working 3 hdc in each corner sc. Fasten off.

Weave in all remaining ends and block the blanket as needed.
