Crochet Soft Textured Indoor Snowball Free Pattern

Materials Needed:

  • Worsted weight yarn in white and gray
  • Size G (4.0 mm) crochet hook
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry needle
  • Polyester fiberfill stuffing

Abbreviations:

  • ch - chain
  • sc - single crochet
  • st(s) - stitch(es)
  • inc - increase (2 sc in one st)
  • dec - decrease (sc 2 sts together)

Pattern:

  1. Start: In gray or white, make a magic ring.
  2. Round 1: 6 sc in magic ring. (6 sts)
  3. Round 2: Inc in each st around. (12 sts)
  4. Round 3: (Sc in next st, inc) 6 times. (18 sts)
  5. Round 4: (Sc in next 2 sts, inc) 6 times. (24 sts)
  6. Round 5: (Sc in next 3 sts, inc) 6 times. (30 sts)
  7. Rounds 6-10: Sc in each st around. (30 sts per round)
  8. Round 11: (Sc in next 3 sts, dec) 6 times. (24 sts)
  9. Round 12: (Sc in next 2 sts, dec) 6 times. (18 sts)
  10. Round 13: (Sc in next st, dec) 6 times. (12 sts)
    Start stuffing the ball firmly with fiberfill.
  11. Round 14: Dec 6 times. (6 sts)
  12. Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Weave the tail through the remaining stitches and pull tight to close. Secure and weave in the end.

Repeat the pattern using different color combinations to create a set of indoor snowballs.
