Crochet Rustic Textured Maple Leaf Coasters

These charming maple leaf coasters are the perfect way to add an autumnal feel to your home decor. With their unique textured stitches and versatile colors, they complement any table setting beautifully. Let’s get started!

Materials Needed:

  • 4 Ply Cotton Yarn in 3 colors: Rust, Mustard, Olive
  • 4 mm Crochet Hook
  • Scissors
  • Yarn Needle

Gauge:

12 stitches and 10 rows = 4 inches in leaf stitch pattern (adjust as necessary).

Size:

Each coaster measures approximately 7 inches wide and 6 inches tall. This pattern can be adjusted for different sizes.

Pattern Instructions:

# Leaf Shape
1. Start with Rust yarn.
2. Ch 23, sc in the second ch from hook and in each ch across (22 sc).
3. Ch 1, turn. Sc in the first sc, and then: 
   - *Sc in next 3 sc, hdc in next sc, dc in next 4 sc, hdc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in last sc;* repeat on the other side (leaving the last sc).
4. Fasten off, weave in ends. Repeat for 2 more leaves with Mustard and Olive yarns.

# Textured Veins
1. For the vein, attach yarn at the base of the leaf. 
2. Ch 1, sc in the same stitch, then ch 2, dc in the next stitch. 
3. Ch 2, sl st to the same base stitch for every leaf; repeat as desired for fullness.
4. Continue adding veins across each leaf, alternating colors as per your preference.

Assembly:

Arrange the leaves in a circle or stack them for a layered effect. Feel free to mix the colors as per your dining theme!
