Playful Pastel Ombre Blanket

Materials:

  • Medium weight (Worsted) yarn in pastel shades (Peach, Lavender, Mint, Baby Blue, Lemon Yellow)
  • Size H (5 mm) crochet hook
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Gauge: 16 stitches x 18 rows = 4 inches in double crochet

Finished Size: Approximately 36 inches x 36 inches

Pattern Instructions:

Foundation Row: Ch 108.

Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across. Turn.

Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as 1st dc), dc in each st across. Turn.

Repeat Row 2 until your blanket measures approximately 10 inches.

Ombre Transition:

  • Switch to Peach yarn, repeat Row 2 until you reach 20 inches.
  • Change to Lavender yarn, repeat Row 2 until you reach 30 inches.
  • Change to Mint yarn, repeat Row 2 until you reach 34 inches.
  • Change to Baby Blue yarn, repeat Row 2 until you reach 36 inches.
  • Change to Lemon Yellow yarn, repeat Row 2 until desired length is achieved (around 36 inches).

Border: Ch 1, sc evenly around the blanket creating a border. Join with a slip stitch to the first sc. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Finishing:

After making sure all ends are woven in, your Playful Pastel Ombre Blanket is ready to snuggle up with your little one!
