Stitches Used:

  • Chain stitch (ch)
  • Slip stitch (sl st)
  • Double crochet (dc)
  • V-stitch: (dc, ch 1, dc) in the same stitch

Instructions:

Body:

  1. Chain 90 (or any multiple of 10 for desired width).
  2. Row 1: In the 4th chain from the hook, make a dc. Continue to dc across. Turn.
  3. Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), *V-stitch in next st, skip next st; repeat from * across. Turn.
  4. Row 3: Ch 3, dc in the first V-stitch, *V-stitch in the next V-stitch; repeat from * across. Turn.
  5. Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until the piece measures approximately 30 inches or desired length.

Sleeves:

  1. Attach yarn at the side seam, ch 30 for the first sleeve.
  2. Row 1: In the 4th chain from the hook, make a dc, then dc across. Turn.
  3. Row 2: Ch 3, *V-stitch in next st, skip next; repeat across. Turn.
  4. Row 3: Ch 3, dc in first V-stitch, *V-stitch in next V-stitch; repeat across. Turn.
  5. Continue until the sleeve measures about 9 inches.

Finishing:

  1. Repeat for the second sleeve.
  2. With tapestry needle, weave in all ends.
