Instructions
Round 1:
Make a magic ring, ch 3 (counts as dc), 15 dc into ring, sl st to top of ch 3 to join. (16 dc)
Round 2:
Ch 3, dc in same st, 2 dc in each dc around, sl st to top of ch 3 to join. (32 dc)
Round 3:
Ch 4 (counts as dc, ch 1), *dc in next dc, ch 1*, repeat from * to * around, sl st to 3rd ch of starting ch 4. (32 dc, 32 ch sp)
Round 4:
Sl st into first ch sp, ch 3, 2 dc in same sp, *3 dc in next ch sp*, repeat from * to * around, sl st to top of ch 3. (96 dc)
Round 5:
Ch 5 (counts as tr, ch 1), *tr in middle dc of 3-dc group, ch 1*, repeat from * to * around, sl st to 4th ch of starting ch 5. (96 tr, 96 ch sp)
Round 6:

Repeat pattern
Continue in this manner, increasing in similar fashion to form the lace pattern, adding decorative picots on final round for a scalloped edge as shown in the image.
