Materials:

Gauge:

Stitches Used:

• Ch – Chain
• Dc – Double Crochet
• Tc – Treble Crochet
• Sl st – Slip Stitch
• Shell – (5 dc in same stitch)

Pattern Instructions:

Shawl Body:

1. Ch 70 to start.
2. Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in next 5 ch, *shell in next ch, dc in next 6 ch; repeat from * to last ch, 1 dc in last ch. (You will have several shells along the row)
3. Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), turn, *shell in the next dc of previous row, dc in next 6 dcs; repeat from * until the end, ending with one dc in the top of the turning ch (63 stitches).
4. Repeat Row 2 until the shawl reaches your desired size (approximately 60 inches across for a large shawl, adjust for smaller sizes).

Shawl Border:

2. Once at the end, *ch 5, sk 2 stitches, sl st in the next - repeat until end.
3. Finish by weaving in ends and blocking to shape.
