Crochet Delicate Dragonfly and Floral Bookmark Free Pattern

Materials Needed

• Cotton crochet thread in cream, pink, and green
• Crochet hook size 1.25 mm
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors

Pattern Instructions

Dragonfly

Body

1. With teal thread, ch 30.
2. Sl st into the second ch from hook, sc across until the last ch, 3 sc in the last ch.
3. Continue around the opposite side of the chain, sc across. Sl st to join. Fasten off.

Wings (Make 2, in cream)

1. Ch 14, sc in 2nd ch from hook, dc in next 5 ch, tr in next 4 ch, dc in next 2 ch, sc, sl st in last ch.
2. Turn, sc across the bottom of the chain.
3. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Floral Vine

Flowers (Make 3, in cream and pink)

1. With desired flower color, make a magic ring, ch 1.
2. Inside ring: *sc, ch 3, sl st in 1st ch* repeat 5 times to make petals.
3. Sl st to first sc, fasten off.

Leaves (Make 6, in green)

1. Ch 10, sc in 2nd ch from hook, dc in next 3 ch, tr, dc, sc in remaining ch.
2. Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.

Assembling the Vine

1. With green thread, create a foundation chain of approx. 50 ch or desired length.
2. Attach flowers and leaves along the chain at intervals, using tails to secure them.
3. Weave in all ends.

Tassel

1. Cut multiple strands of thread about 8 inches long.
2. Fold in half, tie at the top, and attach to the end of the vine opposite the dragonfly.

Finishing

1. Sew the dragonfly's wings onto the body.
2. Attach the dragonfly to the top of the vine.
3. Secure all loose ends and trim.
