Crochet Cozy Textured Square Pillow Free Pattern

This pattern will help you create a cozy square pillow perfect for adding texture and comfort to your home decor.

Materials:

• Bulky yarn (about 300 yards)
• 6.5mm crochet hook
• Fiberfill or pillow insert (16" x 16")
• Scissors
• Tapestry needle

Gauge:

14 stitches x 10 rows = 4 inches in double crochet

Instructions:

Back Panel (Make 2):

1. Chain 35.
2. Row 1: DC in 4th chain from hook and in each chain across. (33 DC)
3. Row 2: CH 2, turn, DC in each DC across.
4. Repeat Row 2 until the piece measures 16 inches. Cut yarn and fasten off.

Front Panel:

1. Chain 35.
2. Row 1: DC in 4th chain from hook. (33 DC)
3. Row 2: CH 2, turn, DC in first DC, *FPDC in next, BPDC in next.* Repeat from * to * across, ending with a DC. (33 stitches)
4. Row 3: CH 2, turn, DC in first DC, *BPDC in next, FPDC in next.* Repeat from * to * across, ending with a DC.
5. Continue alternating Rows 2 and 3 until the piece measures 16 inches. Cut yarn and fasten off.

Assembly:

1. Place the front panel right side up. Lay one back panel on top, right side down.
2. Align edges and pin if desired. Single crochet around all sides to join. Leave a small opening to insert the stuffing.
3. Turn the pillowcase inside out, insert the fiberfill or pillow insert, and close the opening with a slip stitch.
