Materials:

• Chunky yarn (approx. 200g)
• Size 9 mm (M/N) crochet hook
• Yarn needle for weaving in ends
• Scissors

Gauge: 8 stitches = 4 inches in single crochet (using chunky yarn)

Finished Size: Fits average adult size (can be adjusted)

Abbreviations:

• ch = chain
• sc = single crochet
• dc = double crochet
• sl st = slip stitch
• tr = triple crochet
• st(s) = stitch(es)
• Rnd = round

Instructions:

Sock Cuff:

1. Ch 10.
2. Row 1: Sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. (9 sc)
3. Row 2: Ch 1, turn. Sc in first st, *dc in next st, sc in next st; repeat from * to end. (9 st)
4. Row 3: Ch 1, turn. Sc in first st, *sc in next st, tr in next st; repeat from * to end. (9 st)
5. Repeat Rows 2-3 until piece measures 8 inches from the starting chain.
6. Fold the cuff in half so that the stitches are on the outside and sl st across the top to join.

Boot Body:

1. Continue in the round from the top of the cuff: 1 sc in each st around for 2 rounds.
2. Next Round: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st; repeat from * around. (13 st)
3. Continue to work in the round without increasing until the boot measures 6 inches from the cuff.

Toe Cap:

1. Next Round: *sc2tog, sc in next 5 st; repeat from * until 6 st remain.
2. Next Round: sc2tog around until 3 st remain.
3. Cut yarn, leaving a long tail. Thread the tail through remaining stitches and pull to close. Weave in ends.

Finishing:
