Crochet Colorful Farmhouse Themed Quiet Book Free Pattern

Materials Needed:

• Yarn: Various colors of DK or worsted weight yarn (sky blue, green, brown, yellow, red, white, etc.)
• Crochet hooks: Various sizes from 2.5mm to 4.0mm
• Scissors
• Tapestry needle
• Polyester stuffing (small amount for clouds and other raised elements)
• Buttons for closure

Abbreviations:

• ch = chain
• sc = single crochet
• hdc = half double crochet
• dc = double crochet
• sl st = slip stitch
• st(s) = stitch(es)

Instructions:

Cover Base:

1. With sky blue yarn, ch 92.
2. Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, turn. (91 sts)
3. Rows 2-46: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.
4. Change to turquoise yarn for the border: Ch 1, sc evenly around the outer edge, placing 3 sc in each corner.
5. Fasten off and weave in ends.

House:

1. With beige yarn, ch 12.
2. Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across.
3. Rows 2-11: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.
4. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
5. Roof: With orange yarn, ch 14, sc across for 5 rows. Fasten off.
6. Attach roof to house shape using the tapestry needle.

Tree:

1. With brown yarn, ch 8 for trunk.
2. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and across, repeat for 6 rows and fasten off.

4. Sew leaves to the top of the trunk.

Pathway:

Ducks and Pond:

1. With blue yarn, ch 20, join to form a ring. Sc around for 3 rounds.
2. With yellow yarn, make 2 duck shapes: Magic ring, 6 sc, increase around, shape a neck and head with dc. Sew onto pond.
3. Add details with brown yarn for beaks and eyes.

Finishing Touches:

• Add small carrots, flowers, and other details as shown using appropriate yarn colors and stitch techniques like embroidery and appliqué.
• Attach a button for closure using a small strip of turquoise yarn for a loop.
