Materials Needed:

• Worsted weight yarn (in brown, cream, and black)
• Size G (4.0 mm) crochet hook
• Polyester fiberfill for stuffing
• Stitch marker (optional)
• Safety eyes (12 mm)
• Yarn needle

Abbreviations:

• sc - single crochet
• inc - increase (2 sc in the same stitch)
• dec - decrease (single crochet two stitches together)

Pattern:

Body:

• Start with brown yarn.
• Round 1: Make a magic ring and sc 6 into it (6)
• Round 2: Inc around (12)
• Round 3: (sc 1, inc) around (18)
• Round 4-8: Sc around (18)
• Round 9: (sc 1, dec) around (12)
• Stuff the body before closing.
• Round 10: Dec around (6), finish off.

Head:

• Round 1: Make a magic ring and sc 6 into it (6)
• Round 2: Inc around (12)
• Round 3: (sc 1, inc) around (18)
• Round 4-6: Sc around (18)
• Round 7: (sc 1, dec) around (12)
• Round 8: Dec around (6), finish off. Leave a long tail to sew onto the body.

Ears (Make 2):

• With cream yarn, Round 1: Make a magic ring and sc 5 into it (5)
• Round 2: Inc around (10)
• Round 3: Sc around (10), finish off leaving a long tail.

Face:

Sew safety eyes onto the head between rounds 4 and 5. Use black yarn to make a small oval for the nose and use cream yarn to make a small upside-down V for the mouth.

Assembly:

• Sew the head to the body using the long tail from the head.
• Attach the ears on top of the head.
• Add more stuffing if needed.
• Weave in any loose ends.
