Materials:

• Worsted weight yarn (approx. 100-150 yards)
• Size H (5.0 mm) crochet hook

Gauge:

Note:

This pattern is worked in rounds and includes a combination of stitches to create texture. Use a stitch marker to mark the beginning of each round.

Start:

Ch 4, join with a sl st to form a ring.

Round 1:

• Ch 2 (counts as first dc), 11 dc into ring. Join with sl st to top of ch-2. (12 dc)

Round 2:

• Ch 2, dc in same st, *2 dc in next st; repeat from * around. Join. (24 dc)

Round 3:

• Ch 2, (dc, hdc) in next st, *hdc in next st, (dc, hdc) in next st; repeat from * around. Join. (36 sts)

Round 4:

• Ch 1, sc in same st, *ch 2, skip next st, sc in next st; repeat from * around. Join. (18 sc)

Round 5:

• Ch 2, dc in first sc, *fpdc around ch-2 space, dc in next sc; repeat from * around. Join. (36 sts)

Round 6:

• Repeat round 5 until the bonnet measures 6 inches from the center. Switch to sc for the last two rounds.

Finalize the Bonnet:

• Ch 1, sc around entire edge of the bonnet to finish.
