    Instructions:

    1. Start by casting on 80 stitches on your knitting needles. Make sure not to twist your stitches and place a stitch marker to mark the start of the round.
    2. Next, you will work in a ribbing pattern. Row 1: *K2, P2* repeat from * to * until the end of the round.
    3. Continue this pattern for a total of 12 rows. This will create the textured ribbed look of your beanie.
    4. After completing the ribbing, let’s transition to the body of the beanie. Row 13: K every stitch around.
    5. Repeat Row 13 for the next 20 rounds, ensuring that you maintain the same tension as before.
    6. Now it’s time to shape the crown of your beanie. Decreasing begins:
      • Round 1: *K8, K2tog* repeat from * to * until the end of the round.
      • Round 2: K all stitches.
      • Round 3: *K7, K2tog* repeat from * to * until the end of the round.
      • Round 4: K all stitches.
      • Round 5: *K6, K2tog* repeat from * to * until the end of the round.
      • Round 6: K all stitches.
      • Round 7: *K5, K2tog* repeat from * to * until the end of the round.
      • Round 8: K all stitches.
      • Round 9: *K4, K2tog* repeat from * to * until the end of the round.
      • Round 10: K all stitches.
      • Round 11: *K3, K2tog* repeat from * to * until the end of the round.
      • Round 12: K all stitches.
      • Round 13: *K2, K2tog* repeat from * to * until the end of the round.
      • Round 14: K all stitches.
      • Round 15: *K1, K2tog* repeat from * to * until the end of the round.
      • Round 16: K2tog until you have 8 stitches left.
    7. Once you have 8 stitches left, cut the yarn leaving a tail approximately 6 inches long. Thread the tail through the remaining stitches and pull tight to close the hole at the top of the beanie.
    8. Weave in any loose ends using your yarn needle.
    9. Your cozy ribbed knit beanie is now complete! Wear it to stay warm and stylish, or gift it to someone special.
