Materials

• Yarn: 5 skeins of bulky yarn (approx. 100 yards each) in mustard color
• Needles: Size 15 (10 mm) circular knitting needles
• Tapestry needle: for weaving in ends
• Scissors

Gauge

9 stitches = 4 inches (10 cm) in stockinette stitch.

Abbreviations

• CO: Cast On
• St(s): Stitch(es)
• K: Knit
• P: Purl
• RS: Right Side
• WS: Wrong Side

Instructions

1. Cast On: CO 80 stitches using the long tail method.
2. Row 1 (RS): K across all stitches.
3. Row 2 (WS): P across all stitches.
4. Row 3: K2, *P2, K2; repeat from * across to last 2 stitches, K2.
5. Row 4: P2, *K2, P2; repeat from * across to last 2 stitches, P2.
6. Repeat Rows 3 and 4 until blanket measures approximately 60 inches long or desired length.
7. Final Row: Knit one last row (all K) to create a nice edge.
8. Bind Off: Use the bind-off method to secure your stitches while maintaining elasticity. Bind off all stitches loosely.
9. Finishing: Weave in any loose ends with a tapestry needle.
10. Blocking (optional): If desired, block the blanket gently to shape it and enhance the stitch definition.
