Chunky Textured Blanket Pattern
Materials
- Yarn: 5 skeins of bulky yarn (approx. 100 yards each) in mustard color
- Needles: Size 15 (10 mm) circular knitting needles
- Tapestry needle: for weaving in ends
- Scissors
Gauge
9 stitches = 4 inches (10 cm) in stockinette stitch.
Abbreviations
- CO: Cast On
- St(s): Stitch(es)
- K: Knit
- P: Purl
- RS: Right Side
- WS: Wrong Side
Instructions
- Cast On: CO 80 stitches using the long tail method.
- Row 1 (RS): K across all stitches.
- Row 2 (WS): P across all stitches.
- Row 3: K2, *P2, K2; repeat from * across to last 2 stitches, K2.
- Row 4: P2, *K2, P2; repeat from * across to last 2 stitches, P2.
- Repeat Rows 3 and 4 until blanket measures approximately 60 inches long or desired length.
- Final Row: Knit one last row (all K) to create a nice edge.
- Bind Off: Use the bind-off method to secure your stitches while maintaining elasticity. Bind off all stitches loosely.
- Finishing: Weave in any loose ends with a tapestry needle.
- Blocking (optional): If desired, block the blanket gently to shape it and enhance the stitch definition.
Care Instructions
Hand wash in cold water and lay flat to dry to maintain the integrity of the yarn.
