Tunisian Crochet Vibrant Gradient Scarf Free Pattern

Materials Needed:

• Yarn: Gradient yarn with at least 4 colors
• Tunisian crochet hook size appropriate for yarn thickness
• Scissors
• Tapestry needle

Gauge:

15 stitches and 16 rows = 4 inches in Tunisian simple stitch.

Size:

Finished dimensions: approximately 8 inches wide and 60 inches long.

Instructions:

Foundation Row:

1. Make a slipknot and chain 30.
2. Insert the hook into the second chain from the hook and pull up a loop. Repeat across the chain. You should have 30 loops on your hook.

Tunisian Simple Stitch:

1. Return Pass: Yarn over and draw through one loop on the hook, *yarn over and draw through two loops on the hook, repeat from * across until one loop remains.
2. Forward Pass: Insert hook under the second vertical bar, yarn over and pull up a loop, leave the loop on the hook, continue across the row. Do not work into the outermost stitch.

Continue Pattern:

Repeat the Tunisian Simple Stitch until scarf measures 60 inches or desired length while maintaining the gradient color change.

Bind Off:
