Crochet Twisted Spiral Holiday Tree Ornament Pattern

Materials Needed:

• Worsted weight yarn in three colors: Green, Beige, and Burgundy
• 6 mm crochet hook
• Scissors
• Yarn needle
• Optional: Beads or decorative embellishments

Stitches Used:

• Chain (ch)
• Slip stitch (sl st)
• Single crochet (sc)
• Double crochet (dc)

Instructions:

Base:

1. Using Beige yarn, start with a magic ring.
2. Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as a dc), 11 dc into the ring. Join with sl st to top of ch 3. (12 dc)
3. Round 2: Ch 3, dc in same stitch, 2 dc in each stitch around. Join. (24 dc)
4. Round 3: Ch 1, sc in same stitch, *dc in next st, sc in next st*, repeat from * around. Join. (36 stitches)

Spiral Body:

1. Switch to Green yarn.
2. Continue working in rounds, alternating between dc and sc in a spiral pattern:
3. Round 1: Ch 3, dc in next stitch, *sc in next stitch, dc in next stitch*, repeat from * around.
4. Continue increasing the number of stitches in the spiral (add one additional stitch per round) until the desired height is reached. Aim for around 6-8 rounds of increasing.

Finishing the Tip:

1. Once you reach the desired height, change to Burgundy yarn.
2. Ch 1, sc in each stitch around to close off. You can add a few slip stitches to make a pointed tip.
3. Fasten off and weave in the ends.

Hanging Loop:

1. With any yarn color, ch 20, sl st to secure creating a loop. Attach to the top of the tree.
